في كتابه "المنتخب من الكنوز والأوراد" يقدم الشيخ عبد الرسول الغفاري ذخائر مجربة من تراث آثار وأقوال أهل البيت عليهم السلام، فيما خص اللجوء إلى الله سبحانه وتعالى في الأوقات التي يكون فيها المرء في أمس الحاجة إليه، لذلك فالكتاب يحتوي على أدعية وأوراد تشكل مفاتيح الدخول في رحمته تعالى والنجاة من كل مكروه.
يقول المؤلف في تأكيده لأهمية إقتفاء السلف الصالح في آثارهم وأقوالهم ومنهجهم: "... الحمد لله بمنّه وكرمه وفيوضاته التي أودعها عند حججه الأبرار... أهل البيت عليهم السلام فأشرقت تلك المعارف على مرّ العصور من خلال علمائنا الأعاظم من السلف الصالح، فسَنَحَتْ لي الأيام أن أودع تلك الكنوز والدرر في كتاب وجيز مختصر ألتمس فيه النظر بين حين وحينٍ آخر، فكانت مجموعة ثمينة جعلتها أورادي الخاصة التي التجى إليها عند الملمّات، بل وبعض تلك الأوراد كانت بتوجيه من ذوي العرفان وأهل السلوك إلى الله سبحانه وتعالى.
وبناءً على ما تقدم ذكره توزع الكتاب على خمسة وثلاثين باباً ضمت أدعية وأوراد لــ: قضاء الحاجة وزيادة الرزق وطلب الذرية ولقوة الحافظ ورفع النسيان وللعثور على المفقود والضالة ولقضاء الدين ولإبطال السحر وللشدائد والمهمّات ولشفاء المريض ولخير الدنيا والآخرة وغيرها من أذكار الصباح وأعمال اليوم والعملية وأسرار بعض آيات القرآن الكريم... وفوائد أخرى.
