يشكل هذا الكتاب المدخل الصحيح لكيفية تعلم قراءة القرآن الكريم، وفهم معانيه، والحكمة من نزوله على رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وسلم) في قوله عز وجل: اقرأ باسم ربك الذي خلق، وهو أمر الله تعالى لرسوله (صلى الله عليه وسلم) بوجوب قراءة القرآن يعتبر مؤلف الكتاب أن تعلم القراءة الصحيحة له أهمية عظيمة في الإسلام فهو كتاب الله تعالى، وكلامه لا ينفذ أي صالح لكل زمان ومكان. وكما روي عن رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وسلم): "الدليل يدل على خير سبيل، وهو كتاب فيه تفصيل وبيات وتحصيل، وهو الفصل ليس بالهزل، وله ظهر وبطن، فظاهرة حكم وباطنة علم..." وهنا يطرح المؤلف سؤالاً مهماً: ما هو العلم الذي يجب على الإنسان أن يتعلمه، هل هو علم الطب أم الفلك أم الدين؟ والجواب: إن العلم المفروض على الناس عيناً هو العلم الذي يقرب العبد إلى الله تعالى وهو علم الدين المشتمل على أصول الدين وفروعه، ومنه تعلم القرآن الكريم، فعن رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وسلم) أنه قال: "... تعلموا القرآن وعلَموه الناس".
جاء الكتاب في اربعة فصول، بيَن الفصل الأول: فصل قراءة القرآن الكريم من حيث الثواب والشفاعة، أما الفصل الثاني: فأوضح أهمية قراءة القرآن الكريم من حيث أنه رسالة الله إلى العالمين، ويشرح الفصل الثالث: كيف تقرأ القرآن الكريم: آداب قراءته، الباطنية والظاهرية والعملية. أما الفصل الرابع والأخير فيشتمل على (متفرقات) مثل: ختم القرآن الكريم، حفظ القرآن الكريم، المسؤولية تجاه القرآن الكريم وأخيراً قصص الذين غيروا حياتهم بالقرآن الكريم...
