إن تأسيس وتأثيل كينونة الزواج أو الحياة الزوجية يتطلب الجمع بين زوجين أو كينونتين تثويان في بنيتهما مقومات الحياة الزوجية التي من شروطها تلاقي كينونتين متوافقتين متكافئتين ومنسجمتين متصالحتين، معنوياً وجسدياً وعقلياً، ونفسياً ووجدانياً، ومعرفياً ووجودياً، وقيمياً وجمالياً، لتشكلا نواة وروحاً وكينونة واحدة، تحقق بمقتضاها شجرة الحياة الزوجية المباركة. وعليه، فإن معايير الإختيار بين الزوجين وموازين الإصطفاء بينهما لا بد أن تتوافق وتتطابق مع حقيقة وغاية عملية الإندماج والإتحاد الوجودي بينهما. لذا مالم تتوافق وتتطابق معايير وموازين الإختيار الحسية الظاهرية، من حيث الشكل الوسيم والجسم القوي، والهندام الحسن، أو المنصب والنسب المعروف، أو الحسب والمقام الرفيع، أو المال والثروة الوفيرة، أو العلم والمعرفة المستنيرة، أو الثقافة والوعي المنير، أو الشهادة العلمية والخبرة العملية، مع معايير ومكاييل حقيقتها الكينونية الأساسية الراعية والديمومية لها، من حيث كنه حقيقتها المتمثل في التعقل والتبصر، والتدين والخلق، والتعرفن والتوحين، أي التخلق بالقيم المعنوية والجمالية والروحية المختلفة، متجاوزين مرتبة ووضعية الإشباع الجنسي الغريزي ، أو النسل التوليدي، أو محاكاة الوضع الإجتماعي، أو تحقيق الرغبات المادية وتداعياتها الضيقة والمحدودة، وهي من دون شك محفوظة ومقدرة في حدودها ومرتبتها، إلا إنها لا بد أن تتأصل وفق معاييرها وموازينها القيمية الملكوتية، متمثلة في الراحة والأمان والإستقرار والسكينة والمودة والرحمة والحب والعشق، التي بموجبها تحقق وتمهد السير نحو الكمال والتقرب إلى الله سبحانه وتعالى. وغاية هذا الكتاب هو محاولة تأصيل وتأثيل فقه فلسفة الزواج والحياة الزوجية: بمعنى التأمل والتفكر والتعقل والتبصر في ماهية كينونة الزواج والحياة الزوجية ومفاهيمها المعرفية والوجودية والقيمية الأخلاقية والجمالية الفنية وغايتها الأسمى والأقصى.
