إن السير والسلوك إلى الله تعالى يحتاج إلى ميزان، يزن المريد به نفسه وعقله وقلبه وروحه، كما يحتاج إلى مرآة يرى بها كيفية التحقق بتجليات الأسماء والصفات وصولاً إلى مقام الجمع أو الفناء، ثم رجوعاً إلى مقام جمع الجمع أو فناء الفناء، وهو الفرق الثاني أو الفرق النوراني، الذي يرجع به المريد من الاستهلاك بالأحدية إلى البقاء بالواحدية، فيقوم بحق الشريعة في ظاهره وبحث الحقيقة في باطنه، فظاهره مع الخلق وباطنه مع الملك الحق لا يحجبه جمعه عن فرقه ولا فرقه عن جمعه.
ومما لا شك فيه أن سيدنا محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم هو قدوة السلوك والتسليك، فيه انطوت حقائق الأنبياء، وختمت رسالاتهم، وبدينه كمل الدين.
والعلماء العاملون هم ورثة الأنبياء الذين ورثوا النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أحكام وشرائع وأسرار مقامات الدين الإسلامي الكامل: الإسلام والإيمان والإحسان. الذين يدعون الخلق إلى الحق تعالى على بصيرة، فهم المستحقون والمؤهلون لتربية المريدين وإرشادهم في سيرهم إلى الله تعالى.
