علم البلاغة من أهم العلم التي تساعدُ على فهم القرآن الكريم بحقه، ولذا اهتم العلماء في القديم والحديث في التأليف والتدريس فيه، ومن أهم الكتب في هذا العلم "مفتاح العلوم" للسكاكي المتوفى سنة (626هـ).
واختصره الإمام محمد بن عبد الرحمن الخطيب القزويني المتوفى سنة (739هـ) وسمَّاه "تلخيص المفتاح"، وأكبَّ العلماءُ على هذا الكتاب شرحاً وتوضيحاً حتى اختصره أبو يحيى زكريا الأنصاري وسمَّاه "ملخص تلخيص المفتاح" بإختصار حسن.
ونشر هذا الكتاب في سنة (1330هـ / 1912م) بمصر في المطبعة الجمالية، رمزنا له بــ "ج"، وقال الناشر في الكتاب ما نصه: "تنبيه؛ حيث إنه لم يكن لهذا الملخص أصل صحيح خال من التحريف، فقد تكلَّفنا مصاعب جمة في تصحيحه وتحريره على بعض أفاضل من علماء الأزهر الشريف...".
