Book Description
مصنف هذا الكتاب هو "الحافظ أوب عبد الله علاء الدين مغلطاي بن قيلج بن عبد الله اليكجري الحكري، المصري الحنفي. تركي الأصل، مستعرب ولد في مصر سنة 689هـ/1290م. تلقى العلم على يد عدد من شيوخ عصره، فسمع من التاج أحمد بن على ابن دقيق العيد وأخيه الشيخ تقي الدين وعبد الرحيم المساوي، وأبى النور الدبوسي، ولازم الجلال القزويني، ولكن أكثر طلبه للعلم كان بنفسه وقراءاته وبعد أن تم له إفراد من العلم انصرف إلى التصنيف بعد أن تم له الزاد من العلم انصرف إلى التصنيف وذكر مترجموه أن مصنفاته أكثر من مئة مصنف.
وهذا الذي بين أيدينا هو من أشهر مصنفاته في الدب وهو كما يدل اسمه جاء في موضوع العشق وأخبار من مات عشقاً من المحبين واعتبرهم شهداء. وقد سبقه مجموعة من الأدباء والفقهاء العرب تحدثوا في كتبهم عن الحب وأخبار العشق، فقد ذكر ابن النديم في الفهرست مجموعة كبيرة من أسماء مصنفات في أخبار العشاق، لعيسى بن دأب الشرقي بن القطامي وهشام الكلبي والهيثم بن عدي.
وبعد كتب أخبار العشق تحدث عن الحب بشكل خاص، وضمنوا الكتب هذه مجموعة من أخبار العشاق عدد من المصنفين هم: الجاحظ، محمد بن داود الظاهري، محمد بن إسحاق أنب حزم الظاهري... وقد اعتمد الحافظ مغلطاي على هذه الكتب واتخذها مع الكثير مما هو مفقود إلى جانب كتب الأدب والتاريخ كمصادر لكتابه.
وبالعودة لمنهجه في الكتاب نجد أنه كان قد بدأه بروايات متعددة لحديث من مات عشقاً، ثم تحدث مطولاً عن الحب، ونقل تعريفات وأقوال كثيرة. وبعد هذا القسم خلاصة لمختلف الآراء والتعريفات السابقة، والتي اعتمدها فيما بعد جميع من جاء بعده. ثم بدأ بترتيب أسماء العشاق وأخبارهم معجمياُ. ومن لم يعرف له اسم اعتقد في الترتيب اسم الراوي. وقد عد من مات في خشية الله شهيداً كما عد من عشق غلاماً ومات عشقاً شهيداً إلى جانب من أحب امرأة فمات حباً شهيداً، أما من قتل نفسه عشقاً فقد يعتبر قتيلاً. والكتاب كما نرى له مزايا تختلف عن الكتب السابقة له سواء باختيارات وترتيبه، واعتماده على خوف الأسانيد الطويلة والعنعنات إلا إذا كان ذلك يتعلق بحديث نبوي شريف فإنه يذكر أسانيده.
