إنّ الدواعي والأسباب، الّتي دفعتني إلى تدوين هذه الخواطر والذكريات الّتي تعدّ إضافة وتكملة للكتاب الّذي صدر عن حياة والدي بعنوان (الحاجّ محمود جاسم البنّيّة: حياته - سيرته - مآثره)، أنّي وجدت أنّ هناك معلومات مهمّة وتفصيلات تتّصل بمسيرة آل البنّيّة وأعمالها ومنجزاتها في ميادين التجارة والزراعة والصناعة والعمران تستحقّ الذكر، جديرة بالتدوين، وقد مرّت تلك الأعمال والمنجزات بمراحل كنت طرفاً في الكثير منها، وقد وقفت وأشقّائي مع الوالد، طيّب الله ثراهم أجمعين، جنباً إلى جنب متعاونين ومتآزرين، فأنعم الله علينا بالرضا والنجاح.
هذه الخواطر الموجزة تهدف إلى بيان المراحل والمواقف والأخطار الّتي مرّت بها شركة الحاجّ "محمود بن جاسم البنّيّة" وأولاده، هذه المسيرة الطويلة الشاقة، الّتي اقتحمها الوالد رحمه الله واقتفى آثاره أبناؤه وأحفاده من بعده، لتكون درساً وموعظة للأبناء والأحفاد، تلك الأعمال والمواقف الّتي رسمت معالم آسرة البنّيّة وتاريخها وجهادها، فأوصلتها إلى هذه المنزلة الطيّبة في الأوساط التجاريّة والإجتماعيّة، لتكون على بيّنة من أنّ تلك المنزلة لم تأت من فراغ وكسل وتهاون، بل جاءت من عمل متواصل وجهاد وصبر وبفضل الله سبحانه وتعالى.
