بعد أن أنفق فيه خلاصة عمره ،
ويُذكر أنه سلّم الكتاب للناشر ، ثم توفى بعدها بساعة واحدة ، وطُبع الكتاب بعد وفاته ،وكانت وفاته سنة 1985 م .

إلى المناضلين بصمت... وإلى أرواح جميع شهداء لبنان الأبرار... وإلى الظافرين الذين يلفظون اسم الوطن وهم على فراش العذاب بصوت منطفئ، ولهم أكاليل المجد والشهادة.
وإلى مَنْ نسوا أوجاعهم عاملين على التخفيف من حدّة الصراع العبثي.
وإلى أصحاب اليقين بأن الوطن أسمى الكنوز، والإيمان به أقوى حسام.
وإلى مَن يرشفون رحيق المحبة والإخاء من مناهل التضحية ويسعون للوصول إلى مناهل المحبّة الوطنية، ليتغذوا بها ويشفوا نفوسهم من آلام الطائفية والمذهبية والأنانية المستبدة.
إلى كل هؤلاء أهدي كتابي هذا، وأوصيهم أن يعملوا من أجل السلام والإستقرار بأمل الإنتفاح على إنسانية الإنسان ووحدة المصير في لبنان.
