هدية "هدى" لصديقتها "تيما" ليست ككل الهدايا، يشار قدم لها باقة أزهار، وفراس لعبة كراتيه على أقراص، وحقيبة من أليسار وديمة أهدتها دمية... أما هدى فهديتها مختلفة جداً ولن تصدقوا! نعم إنه أحمر للشفاه، اختارته هدى من محل أدوات التجميل، واختارت لنفسها آخر من نفس اللون، ولكن ما هي ردة فعل الأصحاب تجاه هذا الاختيار وهل سيعجب رفاقها بما اختارت؟
الرد على هذه الأسئلة هو ما سيقرأه الطفل في هذه القصة التي بين أيدينا والتي جملت بين صفحاتها كل معاني البراءة والطفولة. وزيادة في التسلية تم إرفاق القصة بكتيب صغير هدفه التسلية وهو يحتوي على صور "لهدى" إلى جانب بعض الرسومات لثياب تم تنسيقها على صفحات منفردة، وعلى الطفل قصص الثياب وإلصاقها على رسم هدى لتلائم المناسبات التالية: نزهة مع أصحابها، رحلة إلى الثلج، رحلة إلى الجبل، الذهاب للبحر.
