تدل دراسة دقيقة للأحاديث المأثورة عن أهل البيت بشأن الخصائص العلميّة، ومبادئ العلوم، وأنواعها، على أنّ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم والأئمة عليهم السلام لم يتّصفوا بعلم الطبّ فحسب، بل بالعلوم جميعاً، وليس ذلك عن طريق الإكتساب، بل عن طريق خارق للعادة، حتّى أنّهم أنّى شاؤوا أن يعلموا شيئاً علموه، كما قال الإمام الصادق (ع): "إنّ الإمِامَ إذا شاءَ أن يَعلَمَ عَلِمَ".
من هنا، لا ريب في أنّ أهل البيت (ع) كانوا ملمَين بعلم الطبّ، وإذا ثبت أنّهم قالوا شيئاً يتعلّق بمسألة من مسائله، فإنّ كلامهم مطابق للواقع حتماً.
فلا غرو أن يتلهف المسلم إلى معرفة ودراسة كل ما أثر عن رسول الله (ص) والأئمة (ع)، من صحيح القول وثابت الفعل، مما روي ونقل إلينا.
من بين هذا التراث الخالد، هذا الكتاب للإمام الصادق (ع) تناول فيها حفظ وحماية أجّل نعمة أنعم الله سبحانه وتعالى بها على الإنسان، نعمة العافية.
