إن في الإمكان إحراز العدالة في هذا المجال فقط من خلال تحالفات دولية لنشطاء وعلماء منكبين على التوثيق، ومن خلال منظمات تقوم بالضغط على الحكومات والمؤسسات الدولية للمجتمع المدني... وفي التحليل النهائي، لن تتحقق العدالة للاجئين والمحرومين من الحقوق السياسية باسترضاء الظالمين ومسايرتهم، بل من خلال التوثيق الجيد والتضامن مع نضالات آخرين عبروا عن تأييدهم للحقوق الفلسطينية.
إن غالبية فصول هذا الكتاب هي حصيلة مؤتمر "حق العودة" الذي عقد في مدرسة الحقوق التابعة لجامعة بوسطن تحت رعاية "مؤسسة الأبحاث العربية" بمساهمات لافتة من نخبة من المفكرين، وقد أضيفت أربعة فصول جديدة، وهي فصول تتمم التغطية الشاملة لموضوع "حق العودة" من مختلف جوانبه وتدرج البراهين والإثباتات الإنسانية والقانونية المفحمة لحقوق اللاجئين الفلسطينيين.
