تحدث المؤلف في الفصول الثلاث الأولى من هذا الكتاب عن زراعة النخيل في المنطقة وكيف كان اهتمامهم بها وطرق زراعتها وتكثيرها وأهم مواقع زراعتها والصلح لها وأسلوب رعايتها وجني ثمارها ومكافحتها بأساليب وطرق تستحق التقدير والإحترام.
أما عن الآفات الزراعية التي تصيب النخيل والتمور في المنطقة قديما فتحدث عنها في الفصل الرابع وكيف كانوا يشخصون الآفة وطبيعة ضررها وأسلوب مكافحتها والحد من أضرارها وفق مبادىء علمية رصينة.
وفي الفصل الخامس تحدث عن أهم مفصليات الأجل التي تصيب النخيل والتمور في المنطقة حاليا وأهمية كل منها إقتصاديا ومكافحتها.
أما في الفصل السادس فتحدث عن حشرات التمور المخزونة التي تصيب التمور وطرق مكافحتها، وقد تضمن هذا الكتاب مجموعة من المصادر العربية والأجنبية التي استعان بها المؤلف زيادة في التوضيح والمعرفة.
