دراسةٌ عُدّت مرجعاً لكثير من البخاثة والطلاّب، حتى قبل أن تطبع وتنشر على نطاق واسع، بالنظر إلى قيمتِها الأدبية والإجتماعية والفلسفية والسياسية والتاريخية والدينية والتوثيقية، وإختصارها لعشرات المراجع والمصادر التي ثمّة بينها ما هو نادر ويصعب بلوغه.
تتميّز بشموليّتها، بالنظر إلى أنّها لامست تفاصيل كل ما يتعلّق بالمرأة الأندلسيّة، عبر حقبة زمنيّة طويلة، امتدّت إمتداد حكم العرب للأندلس، حين تطرّقت إلى:
-وضعِها امرأةً حُرّةً وجارية، وما يستتبع ذلك من معاملة، وتملُك وبيع وشراء...
-مكانتها في المجتمع التي تترجّح بين الإستعباد والتعبُد.
-ثقافتها وتعليمها.
-مجالات عملها: كاتبة ومعلّمة وطبيبة وحتّى فقيهة.
-نفوذها في مختلف العهود، وتأثيرها في المجتمع والحياة السياسية والحكّام.
-الفنون التي أتقنتها من خط وغناء وعزف ورقص.
-العادات والتقاليد، والأزياء، والمجالس والمسموح به والمحظور في العلاقات.
وقد أضاءت الدراسة على نساء ذوات شأن، تركن أثراً بالغاً: وقدّمت لهنّ وصفاً وافياً خلّقياً وخُلُقيّاً، أمثال ولأدة بنت المستكفي، حفصة الركونية، الرميكيّة، حبابة الرومية، وسواهنّ.
وأفردت فصولاً للشاعرات الأندلسيات، والأبواب التي طرقنها، من غزل ورثاء ومدح وهجاء، لاذع أحياناً، ويجاور المحظور أحياناً أُخَر، إلى درجة أنّه حُجِب وعتُم عليه وأُتلف.
وجاءت الدراسة بقصائد نادرة لهنّ مع ذكر المناسبات التي قيلت فيها، والعلاقات التي نسجت حولها، والصراعات التي أشعلتها.
