في كهف وجداني حبكت قصائدي محفوقة بالحياة والآهات تزو عنها الشمس وهي كليلة ويغار منها البدر في الظلمات. هكذا عبر الشاعر السعودي "محمد بن عبد الله الشدوي" عن إبداعه الجديد "نقوش في كهف الوجدان" وهو ديوان ضم ما يزيد عن أربعون قصيدة في الشعر العربي الموزون والمقفى.
وفي هذا العمل يشكل الشاعر قصائده كمن يرسم لوحة، فإذا بالتشكيل هنا يتخذ مهنى مزدوجاً، ويصنع بريشته لوحة، تضم رسالة عشق للأرض، والتاريخ ولله، ولرسوله معاً.
في رسالة إلى عجول الدنمرك يقول: خاطبوهم إنهم لم يشعروا، ركبوا طغيانهم واستكبروا/ دللوا أبقاره فاستحلبت، ونسوا أحلامهم فاستبقروا/ هفوة أو صبوة أم جفوة، من رنيمٍ بنبي يسخر/ أم جنون من صدى أبقارهم، عندما خارت وصدى المظهر/ مالوجه الغرب يبدو كالحاً؟!، ألسن تهذي وزيف ينشر(...)/ أرسول الله يرمي عرضه، والخنازير بعيش تظفر.
عناوين المجموعة نذكر: بين عروسين، نفخر بك يا هند، مع الذكريات أمة لها الصدارة، معاناة في فلسطين، وقفة على شاطئ الخيال، عاطفة ذات بعدين، وقفة على باب المقدس، حوار مع يتيم... الخ.
