لقد أخذنا على عاتقنا إعادة قراءة تاريخ الشعر العربي من زاوية جديدة من خلال النظر في تاريخ تلقيه ؛ وقد كان كتابنا السابق " تفاعل الدهشة الجمالية دراسة في تلقي شعر أبي تمام من لدن معاصريه " لبنة أولى في هذا المشروع ؛ ونواصل عبر هذه الدراسة تلك القراءة الجديدة من خلال تلقي شعر أبي تمام الذي يختصر تاريخ أمة على حد تعبير محمد النويهي ؛ وإذا كنا أطرنا الدراسة السابقة بالدهشة الجمالية التي مثلت المشترك بين المتلقين المعاصرين لحبيب ؛ فإننا في هذه الدراسة نرصد تحولاً بارزاً في تلقي شعر أبي تمام عبر ما يصطلح عليه بالتفاعل التأملي ، الذي يمثل مؤشراً واضحاً يعكس بداية منعطف تاريخي في تلقي لشعر العربي عموماً وتلقي الشعر المحدث خصوصاً ، وتلقي شعر أبي تمام بشكل أخص .
