والأحداث التي عرضت لعمان أسهمت في تشكل ديموغرافيتها السكانية، فاحتضنت مجموعات من أعراق مختلفة أوت إليها في ظروف شتى، مما أدى إلى تنوع تراث عمان تنوعاً أغنى مفردات الحياة الشعبية فيها، وشكل أوسمة رفيعة على صدرها.
