يجوب بنا الكاتب فتحي البس في ذاكرة المعاناة الفلسطينية، مترحلاً في المخيمات من الطفولة إلى الشباب جاعلاً من المخيم رمز تفجع الذات وانبنائها في الآن نفسه. وتتوالى هذه الذاكرة بجميع تشكلاتها ملتقطة الصور والمشاهد اليومية كأنها مقتطعات شريط متسلسل بأمكنته وشخوصه وأحداثه العاتية التي حولت كل منعطف تاريخي للذات الكاتبة وللتغريبة الفلسطينية إلى وشم بين الملامح، دقيق المعاني ولا تخرج سيرة البس عن محور كاية الترحل الدائم بين المرارة في مخيمات شرق الأردن وبين الآمال إلى فجر ضاحك. إلأ أن القارئ يصطدم في "رحلات" فتحي البس بذاكرة إنسيابية مستلة من أدبية الرواية ومدغمة فيما هو ترجذاتي. فالكتابة في هذه الرحلة مثل صاحبها لا تستقر في مكان وتجذب قارئها إلى دوامة الحياة حتى أنها تستهدف خياله وحواسه فلا يكاد يميز بين مكانه وفسحة ما يقرأ.
