هذا الكتاب، يتقصى بدراسة علمية تاريخية موثقة جذور الصراع اليهودي المسيحي في العالم وأوروبا بصورة خاصة، بصيغته الفكرية اللاهوتية الدينية، تحت "عنوان إشكالات رئيسية" تناولت فيها شرح تفاصيل حيثيات منبع الصراع الفكري اللاهوتي فيما بينهما، ومعه تاريخ الصراع بصيغته التاريخية الإجتماعية، وفق ما يرسمه المفكرون اليهود ضمن المصادر التي نشروها في الموضوع، وكان ذلك الإختيار مني عن قصد رغماً عما يتضمنه من محظورات، لأننا برأيي، أشد ما نحتاجه اليوم، هو أن ندخل إلى داخل عقل الآخر لنقرأ ما هو مخطوط فيه، لا أن نتوهم الامور وفق ما نهوى، فنطلق الأحكام العامة دون تمحيص ودراسة.
وليت مثل هذه الأقوال والأحكام العامة والمجتزأة التي نطلقها ونملأ بها الصحف عن إنهيار الكيان الصهيوني، بعدما دخلت إسرائيل عصر التراجع والإنهيار، و... إلخ، لها أثر يرتجى، ويكون ما يذكر صحيحاً لا من الأماني، ولكنها أقوال ترضي النفس، وهي من كل جوانبها مضرة حتى أقصى المدى، وهي لا تشير إلا إلى تأخرنا وإلى عمق إيماننا وتسليمنا بالقوى الغيبية التي ستسخرها الطبيعة لتخدم مصالحنا وليتها تكون صحيحة، إنها أضغاث أحلام اليقظة التي وليدها الكوارث.
