في البدء حين خلق الرب آدم أوصاه بأن يعمل الأرض. لم تكن الصلاة تحتاج لوصية لأنه خلق في علاقة كاملة مع الرب. فقد كان يتمشى معه في عدن.
لذلك حين حدث السقوط كان العقاب موجه إلى صميم الدعوة وصعوبة المضي فيها وتتميمها.
واليوم الكثير يشعر بوجود فارق كبير بين ما يعيشه داخل دور العبادة وبين طبيعة حياته اليومية مما يجعله يعيش وكأنه منقسم على ذاته. هذا الفارق له أسباب كثيرة لكن أهمها هو عدم إدراك الإنسان أن عمله ومواهبه الشخصية هي جزء من دعوة حياته والسبب لذي خلق من أجله.
