من هنا، يستعرض المؤلف المراحل التي مر بها علم الكيمياء ودور علماء المسلمين في تطوير علم الكيمياء مثل "جابر بن حيان" الذي لقب بأبو الكيمياء مروراً بالنظريات الغربية التي تطور معها علم الكيمياء وولدت معه البنية الذرية والتركيب الإلكتروني لها وخاصة نظرية "بوز" يستعرض المؤلف مميزاتها وعيوبها ويورد أمثلة حسابية عليها ويقدم حلولاً لها (أمثلة محلولة) ثم ظاهرة "زيمان"، وإكتشاف القانون الدوري وجدول مندلييف، والقواعد العامة لتحديد موقع عنصر، وعملية بناء الجدول الدوري، وتضيف المواد حسب خواصها المغناطيسية، ويشرح ما هو العزم المغناطيسي للذرات، والعزم المغناطيسي للإلكترون، والزخم الزاوي للإلكترون؟ ثم ينتقل بالحديث عن الروابط الكيميائية وأشكال الجزيئات، وحالات المادة، وقوانين الغاز، والنظرية الحركية ودرجة الحرارة، وانواع البلورات (الجزيئية، التساهية، السائلة)، مروراً بطبقة الأوزون وإطلاق الصواريخ إلى الفضاء وغيرها...
