كلَّما أظلمتْ جنباتُ الواقعِ العربيّ، وتأخَّر بزوغُ فجرهِ، طالعتنا التساؤلات - الساخرةُ - عن جدوى الشعر، ومدى قرته على التَّصدي لإشكالياتِ التأزّم، وسمعنا من يقولُ غاضباً: "مضى زمنُ الشعر".
وإنَّ هذه الثورةَ تُبرزُ - في جانبٍ منها - مدى الثقةِ التي اكتسبها الشعرُ - على مدار تاريخه - بوصفه أبرزَ مساراتِ الخلاصِ الإنساني، بما يمتلكُ من قدرةِ على طرحِ الرُّؤى، ومساءلة الراهن، وإستشراف آفاق الغد، وإستغوار النفس الإنسانية، من هنا يكونُ الشعرُ مرآةٌ صادقةً للذاتِ، الفردية والجمعيّة.
وقد استطاع شعراءُ الباحةِ أن يُبرزوا مدى إنغراسهم في راهنِ الأمة - العربية والإسلامية - بما برزَ في تجاربهم الشعرية من رؤىً توشّجت بهذا الراهنِ، وطرحتَه عبرَ طاقاتٍ من التشكيل الفنّي المتمايز.
من هذا المنطلق، استطاعت هذه التجاربُ الشعرية أن تكونَ مرايا رؤيويَّةً صادقةً للوضعية العربية الراهنة، ومرايا فنيّة متميزةٌ لراهنِ القصيدة العربية المُعاصرة.
