ربما تكون هذه هي المرة الأولى عربياً وإسلامياً، يقرأ فيها مثل هذا "الجمع" من الوثائق المجهولة، والمفروض من حولها إطار من السرية والخطر الرسمي. في هذا الكتاب وثائق سرية قدمها كل من شكري أحمد مصطفى، عمر التلمساني، محمد عبد السلام فرج، عبود الزمر، سالم الرحال، عبد الله السماوي وغيرهم. يقدم هؤلاء هذه الوثائق التي لا تزال ممنوعة من التداول، وتعد من المحرمات وقد حاول رفعت سيد أحمد إخراجها عن جميع تنظيمات الحركة الإسلامية في مصر خلال حقبتي السبعينات والثمانينات وذلك من منطلق قناعة مفادها أن الحقيقة ملك للقارئ الواعي.
ومن منطلق تلك القناعة، كان هذا العمل في جزئي كتاب "النبي المسلح" الذي بين أيدينا بعنوانيه "الرافضون" و"الثائرون"، وكانت رغبة مؤلفه تقديمه كاملاً غير منقوص للقارئ العربي والإسلامي حيثما كان، ليعرف كيف يفكر قادة (تنظيمات) لا زال البعض يحكم عليها وعلى فكرها أحكاماً مسبقة، وهي أحكام تأتي دائماً من خارج الإطار الإيديولوجي والفكري لتلك التنظيمات، ولم تحاول أن تتغلغل إلى داخله لتبحث فيه وتفتش عن المكونات الحقيقية له.
