نحاول هنا أن نستثمر إنجازات البلاغة العربية، في تأكيد منهج نقدي سار عليه النقاد العرب قديماً، ذلك هو "النقد البلاغي" الذي كنا قد درسناه تفصيلاً في بحثنا للدكتوراه "النقد البلاغي عند العرب إلى نهاية القرن السابع للهجرة".
وإذا كانت تلك الدراسة قد عُنيت بالتأسيس لهذا النوع من النقد عند العرب، فإننا نسعى في هذا البحث إلى ترجمة الأصول النظرية لهذا النقد، إلى منهج نقدي، نعتقد أنه أكثر توفيقاً في قيام دراسة نقدية تطبيقية على نصوصنا الإبداعية، بما يجعل النقد عملية مثمرة في وقوفها على مكامن الإبداع في النص الأدبي، إذا كان النقاد العرب قد شهدوا بوقوفهم عند الأبيات وأجزائها في نقدهم للنصوص، فإن دراستنا هذه تحاول أن تتلافى هذا النقص بأن تعمد إلى قصيدة كاملة لتدرسها دراسة نقدية تطبيقية وافية، نستمد من البلاغة العربية منجزاتها فيما قررته في بلاغة النص الأدبي.
هذا البحث إذن محاولة جادة للتغلغل في نسيج النص الشعري بعد أن طوّفتنا - أو جعلتنا - كثير من المناهج النقدية الحديثة نطوّف حول النص، دون إختراق بنيته، هذه البنية التي أعطته هويته وميزته من سواه، من النصوص الأخرى، وكتبت له الخلود كل هذه السنين...
وبهذا يصبح النقد مولوداً من رحم النص الأدبي، لا مفروضاً عليه من الخارج، إنه يحاول أن يوضح ما هو موجود، لا أن يلقي ما في النفس عليه، فيغدو ضرباً من التأويل والإستبطان الذاتيين للذين يحملان قدراً من الغموض قد يفوض غموض النص ذاته.
ويظل المتنبي بين شعراء العربية - قدماء ومحدثين - علماً بارزاً ومعمارياً فذاً يبهرنا بما شاده من روائع ظلت عنواناً للإبداع الفني الذي لا تنال من جدته السنين مهما تطاولت، ولا يدنو من فلكه المبدعون مهما حاولوا، إنه مبدع متميز في إختيار ألفاظه ووضعها في مواضعها في هندسة خاصة به، إلى الحد الذي لا يكون معه في مقدور أحد - كائناً من كان - أن يزحزح لبنة واحدة من هذا المعمار الفني الجميل، او أن يستبدل بها غيرها، لأن ذلك يأتي عنه "إما تبدل المعنى الذي يكون فيه فساد الكلام، وإما ذهاب الرونق الذي يكون معه سقوط البلاغة" كما قال الخطابي معبراً عن بلاغة النص القرآني، ودقته في وضع الألفاظ في مواضعها.
