يعتبر الإسلام العلم جزءاً من الدين، ولذلك فإن الدعوة الإسلامية صحبتها نهضة علمية عمّت مشارق الأرض ونفذت إلى مغاربها فوضعت أسس نهضتها الحديثة أقامتها من كبوتها، وأشعّت فيها النور بعد أن كانت غارقة في دياجيد الجهل، وقد انطلقت الدعوة الأولى للعلم من القرآن الكريم حيث حثت آياته على طلب العلم والسعي في سبيله، والكاتب يقوم في هذا الكتاب بحثاً مبيناً فيه المواضيع من الآيات والتي أخبرت عن مسائل علمية اكتشف الإنسان حقيقتها منتقلاً بعد ذلك، إلى بيان منزلة القرآن بين الكتب السماوية حيث جمع كل ما في الكتب السالفة لذا فقد جاء فيه ما أزال اللبس المحيط بكثير من المسائل التي حددها تحديداً واضحاً جلياً لا غموض فيه وقد كان للكاتب مقارنة بين بعض ما جاء في التوراة والإنجيل والقرآن برهن من خلالها ما ذهب إليه اجتهاده في هذا الصدد وهدفه من وراء كل ذلك الوصول إلى الحقيقة التي لا تدحض بحبه إلى أن الدين يقود الإنسان إلى اكتشاف الكون واكتشاف نفسه واكتشاف حقائق الحياة وذلك يعني بعبارة أخرى أن الدين والعلم حقيقتان متلازمتان.
