لا يصل الإنسان إلى الكمال إلا بالتزكية، والتربية الخلقية فبقدر ما يكتسب من مكارم الأخلاق وبمحاسنها يكون حائزاً على الكمال والشرف، فالأخلاق هي التي تبني شخصية الإنسان وهي التي تشكل البعد الآخر والأساسي لوجوده، وتضفي عليه الجمال والبهاء، ونظراً لموضوع الأخلاق من أهمية ومكانة، غني علماء الإسلام بدراسته، فألفوا فيه العديد من الكتب، والتي عقد فخراً للأمة الإسلامية في عرضها للمنهج الصحيح للحياة…واتخذ علماء الأخلاق أساليب مختلفة في عرض هذا العلم الشريف. فبينما يسلك العلامة ابن مسكوبة، المنهج الفلسفي في تدوين كتابه "تهذيب الأخلاق وتطهير الأعراق" فيعتمد على الأدلة العقلية والبراهين المنطقية، نجد العلامة الغزالي يعتمد في تأليف كتابة "إحياء علوم الدين" على الأحاديث النبوية والآيات القرآنية في عرض القضايا الأخلاقية، بعيداً عن الاستدلالات العقلية والبراهين الفلسفية، إلى جانب هذين الأسلوبين في عرض علم الأخلاق يتخذ مؤلف هذا الكتاب "الشيخ عز الدين الحسين بن عبد الصمد" أسلوبا ثالثاً يجمع من خلاله بين عمق الأسلوب: الأول وأصالة الأسلوب الثاني، وهو أسلوب عرض الأخلاق على ضوء القرآن الكريم والسنّة النبوية الشريفة متنوعة بالأدلة العقلية والبراهين الفلسفية وأقوال الحكماء والعلماء في هذا الشأن، ولعل أهم ما يتميز به "نور الحقيقة" من بين كتب الأخلاق إلى جانب استيعابه لأهم البحوث الأخلاقية هو، انه يعرض مكارم الأفلام بأبلغ لفظ وأوجز كلام، مما يشد القارئ بالكتاب ويجذبه إلى المزيد من القراءة في موضوعاته، هذا وقد ذيل الكتاب بتحقيق لطيف، يكون كدليل لفهم مراميه، وتفسير ما أبهم من ألفاظه ومعانيه.
