إن هذه مختارات شعريّة لطيفة بثّها في ثنايا تصانيفه المؤرّخ الشّهير والحافظ النّحرير شمس الدّين أبو عبد الله محمّد بن أحمد الذّهبي (673- 748هـ)، مرويّة إلى أصحابها بأسانيده الوفيرة عن شيوخه، وفيها كثير من الحكم البليغة، والمواعظ الحسنة، تدلّ بمجملها على حسن إنتقاء الذّهبي وجميل إختياره لما رقّ من الأشعار، ودقّ من معانيه الغزار.
وما بثّه الذّهبيُّ في تفاريق تواليفه من هذه الأشعار هو غَيُضٌ مِنْ فَيْضٍ، ولا يشكّ باحثٌ أنّه كان في أوراقه وكراريسه شيء كثير من هذه الأنشودات انتقى منها عند الحاجة ما احتاج إليه، وانظر إليه حين يقول فثي ترجمة شيخه أبي القاسم محمّد بن أحمد بن محمّد السّبتي: "وعندي عنه أناشيد رائقة".
ويجدر الإشارة هنا أنّ هذه "الأناشيد" كثيرة في الأجزاء الحديثيّة وكتب الأمالي خاصّة ونبّه أهل الحديث إلى حسن هذا الصّنيع فقال ابن الصّلاح: "كان من عادة غير واحد من المذكورين ختم الإملاء بشيء من الحكايات والنّوادر والإنشادات بأسانيدها وذلك حسن".
وقد عقد الخطيب البغدادي في كتابه الجامع بابا سمّاه: "ختم المجلس بالحكايات ومستحسن النّوادر والإنشادات"، ومن أشهر من اعتنى بمثل هذه الإنشادات من الأعلام الإمامُ الحافظ الرّحلة أبو طاهر أحمد بن محمّد السّلفي (478- 576هـ) الذي بثّ في تصانيفه منها شيئاً كثيراً طيّباً.
