"بين طيات هذا الكتاب نصوصٌ قصيرة قمت بكتابتها وأنا في بدايات العشرين من عمري، كنت أدوّن أغلبها على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي "تويتر"؛ لأُشبع دافعي إلى الكتابة، ولكي أسمح لما بداخلي من فكرةٍ أوخبرةٍ أو شعور بالظهور إلى النور.
قد يكون ما في الكتاب مُلهماً ونافعاً، وقد يكون مملاً، وقد يكون لا جديد فيه؛ فكلٌّ له منظوره الشخصي فيما يقرأ. وربما يكون جرعة قرائية خفيفة، يمكن لك أن تقرأها وأنت على الطريق، أو وقت انتظارك، أو قبل نومك.. والمهم في الكتاب، أنه صار مستقراً لتلك الأحرف والأفكار التي تم اختزالها لزمن، فآن الأوان لها أن تمكث في مكانٍ يليق بها، وتتوزّع على حبرٍ وورقٍ وصفحات، حتى تُمكّن القارئ من الإطلاع عليها. وبلا تنميق وتزويق، فقد جاءت تسمية الكتاب بهذا العنوان؛ لأن قراءة الكتب "على الطريق"، من أحبّ اللحظات لديّ، ولسبب آخر يمكن للقارئ أن يفسّره بنفسه.. لعل هذه السطور القادمة تساهم في تعزيز فكرةٍ لديك، أو تواكب مشاعرك الوجدانية، وتفيدك بشكل أو بآخر، وكلي أملُ أن يكون هذا الكتاب هو رفيقك الأول في بداية مشوارك مع القراءة، وأرجو أن يكون له أثر إيجابيّ على نفسك".
بهذا التقديم تفتتح الكاتبة أفنان المقبل كتابها المعنون «على الطريق» الذي وسمته بـ "خواطر"، وقد كتبت سطوره على طريقة النصوص الأدبية التحفيزية القصيرة، لهذا فهي نصوص كتبت بعقل الكاتبة المقبل، قبل خيالها، لتكون هي وأنت "على الطريق"، وقد استلت مضامينها من مواقف عايشتها ولخّصتها كما يمليها عليها ضميرها الأدبي.
