يجمع هذا الكتاب مختلف الآراء حول زواج المتعة وهي لأئمة وأعلام الشيعة المعروفين مثل "السيد محمد تقي الحكيم"، "الشيخ أحمد الوائلي"، "العلامة الطباطبائي"، "العلامة الطبرسي"، "السيد عبد الأعلى السبنواري"، "الشيخ باقر الإيرواني"، "الشيخ ناصر مكارم الشيرازي" وأخيرا السيد "محمد كلانتر".
يتكىء الكتاب في معالجته لظاهرة زواج المتعة على ما جاء في القرآن الكريم، وروايات وتفسيرات لكتب مثل "تفسير الطبري"، و "الكافي" ، و"الدر المنثور"، و"مستدرك الحكم"، وغيرها من أمهات الكتب التي تحمل بين طياتها محطات في التاريخ الإسلامي كانت تشرع هذا النوع من الزواج.
يستند علماء الإمامية في تشريعهم لزواج المتعة إلى الآية القرآنية ".. فما استمتعتم به منهن فأتوهن أجورهن فريضة" "ويصرحون بكفاية الآية المباركة على أصل التشريع."
وعلى هذا يعالج هذا الكتاب مسألة الزواج، وظروفه، وصعوباته عبر الزمن ويعتبر أن الإستعانة بالإيمان والعقائد الدينية، حلولاً، لما يعترض الشباب من صعاب تقف حائلا دون زواجهم بشكل دائم...
