يقول المؤلف: تناولنا في كتابنا هذا مواضيع جداً هامة تفيد الأسرة، ووضعنا جهدنا من أجل أن نوصل المعلومة الصحيحة إلى الزوجين وركزنا على الزوجة الحبيبة وهي صاحبة الدور الثقافي في البيت وخاصة ما يخص التربية الناجحة للأولاد (...) وتكمن أهمية موضوع الكتاب لارتباطه في تكوين الأسرة والمجتمع وأنه رغبة وإحساس جميل كأي رغبة أخرى مثل الأكل والشرب ...".
وبناءً على ما تقدم ذكره يشتمل الكتاب على إرشادات تفيد الأبناء قبل الزواج وبعده من حيث معاملة الشريك والحوار الزوجي وتعليم الأبناء ثقافة الجسم في مرحلة المراهقة وسلوكيات الخطوبة، وضرورة فحص ما قبل الزواج وفوائده، والتحضير لليلة الزفاف، وأهمية الزواج وأحكامه وآدابه، وغير ذلك.
وعليه، يضم الكتاب ثمانية فصول وفق ما يلي: الفصل الأول: الحب والحبيب الشريك، الفصل الثاني: الزواج، الفصل الثالث: الزواج والجنس، ويضم: القسم الأول: الثقافة والتطور الجنسي، القسم الثاني: مفهوم الممارسة الجنسية وأنواعها، الفصل الرابع: الجهاز الأنثوي والذكري، الفصل الخامس: الأمراض الشائعة ، أسبابها وعلاجها، الفصل السادس: الأسئلة المتنوعة، الفصل السابع: وصايا ونصائح، والفصل الثامن والأخير: مواضيع متفرقة ذات صلة بموضوع الكتاب.
