هو كتابٌ يحمل مشروعاً وحدوياً جديداً وضعه صاحبه بالفرنسية بعنوان: "أنكون جميعاً منشقين". وبعد أن نقله هو إلى العربية جاء العنوان الجديد يحمل صفة التأكيد: "ألسنا كلنا منشقين؟" إنه كتاب سيادة المطران الياس الزغبي يثير عبره تساؤلات وهواجس الإنشقاق الآخر، الذي شطر الأرثوذكسية، وكانت حصيلته الكنائس الكاثوليكية الشرقية؟ أليس لأسباب سياسية وزمنية أكثر منها دينية؟ - يتساءل الكاتب – والاّ فكيف يُقر أئمة اللاهوتيين ورجال الحركة المسكونية أنفسهم بأن العقيدة كانت، ولا تزال، في جوهرها واحدة في الكنيستين الرومانية والأرثوذكسية؟ هذا ما سيبيّنه هذا الكتاب في محطاته المختلفة والذي يشكل في مضمونه صرخة من الصميم حول العلاقات "المسكونية" والسعي الوحدوي للقاء يكون فيه محبو المسيح جسداً واحداً.
يقول المؤلف عن الهدف من وضع هذا الكتاب: "إن المؤلف قد شاء أن يعبّر عن ألم في النفس، نشأ عن كونه في الوقت ذاته مسيحياً شرقياً ومنضماً إلى كرسي روما الرسول. وبالتالي معنياً بانشقاق كنسيّ مزدوج، ليس ما يبرّر نشأته ولا استمراره. نعم! ليس ما يبرّره، في نظر الإيمان، الإنشقاق الكبير الذي وقع بين الكنيستين، الكاثوليكية الرومانية والأرثوذكسية، وهما المحبوبتان من الله جداً، والمدعوتان لتؤلفا معاً كنيسة السيد المسيح الواحدة (...)".
يضم الكتاب (16) مقالة جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "الكنيستان الرومانية والأرثوذكسية متكاملتان" ، "الإنشقاق يستقرّ" ، "الإنشقاق يتثبت" ، "الإنشقاق يتأصل على أثر الحركة الإنضمامية" ، "الإنشقاق يتحول إلى عقيدة" ، "المجمع الفاتيكاني الأول ومجامع الغرب العامة" ، "الحركة الإنضمامية" (...) وعناوين أخرى.
