Book Description
هو العجاج، وإسمه عبد الله بن رؤبة بن لبيد ... بن عدنان، شاعر جاهلي سمي العجاج لبيتٍ قاله في أرجوزةٍ له، حيث يقول: حتى يعج يخناً من عجعجا.
يحيط هذا الكتاب بمعظم روايات رجز العجاج وأصحها وأوثقها، حيث تم للدكتور "عزة حسن" إخراجها بالإستناد إلى مخطوطات قديمة من محفوظات مكتبة استانبول والمكتبة الظاهرية بدمشق، وهي أصول وردّ فيها معظم روايات رجز العجاج عن الأصمعي وأصحابه الأعلام وغيرهم من العلماء مع شروح الأصمعي عليها. وقد اقتصر العمل في هذا الديوان على تحرير نصه وضبطه والسعي لإخراجه كما صنعه صاحبه الأصمعي، وكما حققه ووثقه تلاميذه النابهون من بعده، وقد ضمنت شروح الأصمعي للديوان (العجاج) شواهد من آيات القرآن الكريم وأحاديث الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم وأمثال العرب وأشعارهم القديمة من مدح ورثاء وهجاء وغيرها.
وعلى هذا، تم تقسيم محتويات الكتاب إلى مقدمة تضمنت حياة الشاعر ورجزه، مكانة العجاج وطبقته، ومخطوطات الديوان، يتبع ذلك "سفر فيه رجز العجاج عبد الله بن رؤبة بن لبيد بن صخر التميمي رواية عبد الملك بن قرتب الأصمعي" ، و "روايات الرياشي" ، ,"روايات الزيادي" ، و "رواية لأبي عبيد" ، بالإضافة إلى "شروح وروايات منقولة عن عبد الرحمن عمرو"، وعرض لأقسام الديوان، والنسخ المعتمدة في التحقيق وهي: نسخة محمد الفاتح، نسخة نور عثمانية، نسخة البغدادي، نسخة الشنقيطي.
