تحت عنوان "السرد التاريخي عن بول ريكور" تقدم الكاتبة جنان بلخن دراسة نظرية للسرد التاريخي لدى ريكور وذلك بتسليط الضوء على النصوص الريكورية ومن خلال تقصي سيرة الفيلسوف ومتابعتها من ألفها إلى يائها، بغية التوقف عند ملامح التنظير وعناصره الذي يقود إلى إستخلاص "نظرية متماسكة ومنسجمة عن السرد من زاوية فلسفية".
ولان بول ريكور يفتح الباب واسعاً أمام تأويل متنوع للثقافة البشرية، سعت الكاتبة في ثنايا عملها إلى التركيز على السرد كنقطة هامة في فلسفة بول ريكور، وأهمية ذلك تنبع من كونها محورية في جل إهتمامات ريكور على صعيد التفسير والتأويل والفهم أو على مستوى التاريخ والأنثربولوجيا والأدب أو على نطاق الأخلاق والقيم والتواصل أو في مجال الفلسفة والتحليل النفسي والإيديولوجيا.
لقد أمكن للسرد أن يسترجع ماهيته من الماضي إلى المستقبل وأن ينهض من تحت أنقاض الميتولوجيا والخرافة فيقتحم معابر المناهج والمعارف.
تقسم الدراسة إلى "المدخل" وجاء بعنوان: من التأويلية إلى السردية: قراءة في مسيرة ريكور الفلسفية، يتبع ذلك ثلاثة فصول كان الفصل الأول بعنوان: إمكانية الجمع بين الخطاب السردي والخطاب التاريخي، وكان الفصل الثاني بعنوان: البنية الأنطولوجية والإبستمولوجية للسرد التاريخي، بينما خصص الفصل الثالث لبحث: أبعاد السرد التاريخي (البعد الإيديولوجي - البعد اليوتوبي - البعد الإستيطيقي).
