وما سوف نتحدث عنه في هذا الكتاب هو برنامج الفلاش الذي ينتمي بشكل رئيسي إلى فرع تصميم المواقع وتصميم الرسوم المتحركة لقد قامت شركة Macromedia بإنتاج العديد من البرامج والتطبيقات الرسومية الخاصة بتصميم صفحات الإنترنت وبفترة وجيزة جداً ويعتبر برنامج Flash أحد هذه البرامج والذي يعتمد على الرسوم والصور الخطية Vector والتي تتميز بأحجام تخزين صغيرة بالإضافة إلى إمكانياتها في إنشاء الحركة القابلة للتغيير إلى صفحات إنترنت، مما جعل Flash من أقوى البرمجيات وأكثرها إستخداماً وكما يمكن عمل كرتون متحرك بإستخدام فلاش.
