يتناول هذا الكتاب قانون أصول المحاكمات الجزائية تعريفه و موضوعه و أهميته و علاقته بقانون العقوبات و طبيعة القواعد المتعلقة بالتنظيم القضائي و الاختصاص و طرق الطعن و التقادم و إعادة الاعتبار كما يذكر علاقة هذا القانون بقانون أصول المحاكمات المدنية و يبين الأنظمة الإجرائية القديمة و تطورها مبينا موقف المشرع الأردني من هذه الأنظمة معددا ملامح و سمات قانون أصول المحاكمات الجزائية الأردني رقم 9 لعام 1961 و يتناول في الباب الأول دعوى الحق العام و الحق الشخصي و أطراف الخصومة و مزايا كل طرف و خصائصها و أسباب انقضائها و يبين الاستدلال و التحري و التحقيق الابتدائي مبينا الضابطة العدلية و صلاحياتها الأساسية و التحقيق الابتدائي و خصائصه و أهميته و ضماناته مشيرا إلى إجراءات التحقيق الابتدائي و هي الانتقال و المعاينة و ندب الخبراء و تفتيش المساكن و الأشخاص و ضبط الأوراق و الأشياء المتعلقة بالجريمة كاستجواب المتهم و القبض و الحبس الاحتياطي و تخلية السبيل ثم يشير إلى إثبات الدعوة الجزائية ذاكرا الشهادة و الاعتراف و القرائن و الأوراق و البيانات الخطية و يبين نظرية بطلان الإجراءات في قانون أصول المحاكمات الجزائية.
