أطلقت أسماء كثيرة على مدينة القدس, مثل أورو سالم, يبوس, ايليا كابيتولينا, وغيرها, ولا غرابة في أن تتخذ القدس أسماء عديدة, فقد كانت مقصد الطامعين نظراً لمكانتها الدينية الهامة والمميزة ولوقوعها في قلب العالم تقريباً, عند مداخل قارات العالم القديم إضافة الى إشرافها على الطرق التجارية والعسكرية الرئيسية التي تربط بلاد الشام ووادي الرافدين بالأرض المصرية. ولذلك تعرضت القدس للاحتلال الأجنبي عشرات المرات, وهي لا تزال ترزح تحت نير الاستعمار الصهيوني البغيض, وتنتظر بفارغ الصبر أن تعود الى أصحابها العرب. وهذا الكتاب يتناول الحديث عن مدينة القدس من كل جوانبها.
