إن الحديث عن الإستشراق والمستشرقين مرتبط في غالب الأحيان بمجال الدراسات الإسلامية، والقرآنية منها تحديداً، وبقدر ما يرفض المسلم الكثير من الآراء والتحليلات الإستشراقية المتعلقة بكتاب الله تعالى أو بنبيِّه صلى الله عليه وسلم، بقدر ما يجد في ما كتبوه كثيراً من الإيجابيات؛ وإذا لم يكن منها سوى تنبيه بعض العرب والمسلمين من غفلتهم تجاه دينهم وتراثهم، ودفعهم بقوّة إلى الذود عنهما، لكان ذلك كافياً، فكيف إذا عددنا غير هذا، مثل التَّقَوِّي بآراء المنصفين منهم، في إطار (شهد شاهد من أهلها) لتصحيح نظرة الغرب إلى الإسلام، خاصة عند الأجيال التي تشرأب أعناقها لمعرفة الإسلام على حقيقته.
في هذا الإطار اخترت هذا الموضوع: (المستشرقون وبنية النص القرآني) وهو دراسة في رؤية المستشرقين لثلاث بنى أساسية في النص القرآني لفتت إنتباه المستشرقين، وهي معماره وموضوعاته وأسلوبه، ورأيت أن أتناوله عند عدد من المستشرقين، بدلاً من إختيار مستشرق نموذجاً؛ فهذه البنى إنما تتّضح من خلال آراء مختلفة، ولمستشرقين تباعدت بهم الأماكن، والإختصاصات، وربما طرق التفكير أيضاً، فالبحث يهدف، إلى تقصي هذه الآراء المختلفة، ونقدها، للوصول بالقارئ إلى رؤية نرجو أن تكون علمية موضوعية.
ويطرح هذا البحث بعض التساؤلات الهامة منها: إلى أي مدى تمكن المستشرقون من رصد معالم النص القرآني، في أبعاده المختلفة: المعمارية والموضوعية والفنيّة؟ وما مدى كفاية النتائج المتوصل إليها في هذا المجال؟ وهل بنيت أعمالهم على مفاهيم من شأنها الإحاطة ببناء النص القرآني؟ وهل الأدوات المستخدمة كالإحصاء والتصنيف والنمذجة التي يوظفها المستشرق لخدمة أهدافه وتوجّهاته تكفل الوصول إلى هذا الهدف؟ ثم، هل توجه المستشرقين إلى القارئ الأوروبي بالدرجة الأولى سعي وراء كشف الحقائق، كما يقتضيها المنهج العلمي، أم أنه توجيه له نحو ما يراد له أن يعرف؟...
