ينقسم هذا الكتاب الى ستة فصول، تناول الفصل الاول مدخل نظري حول الادارة الاستراتيجية حيث تضمن مجموعة من المواضيع تناولت اهمية ومفهوم ومستويات الادارة الاستراتيجية. أما الفصل الثاني فقد تناول عمليات الادارة الاستراتيجية والتي تضم عملية المسح البيئي ثم صياغة الاستراتيجية وتنفيذها وأخيراً عمليات الرقابة الاستراتيجية. أما الفصل الثالث فقد تناول التخطيط لنظم المعلومات الاستراتيجية. حيث ضم العديد من الموضوعات ذات العلاقة وفوائد عملية التخطيط لنظام المعلومات الاستراتيجي وخصص الفصل الرابع لنظام المعلومات الاستراتيجي وعلاقته بالاستراتيجية التنافسية ومفهوم الميزة والضرورة التنافسية ونظام المعلومات الاستراتيجي وتكنولوجيا المعلومات، اما الفصل الخامس فقد تناول الاعمال الالكترونية وعلاقتها باستراتيجية الاعمال ونظام المعلومات الاستراتيجي وقد تناول الفصل السادس ادارة المعرفة من حيث المفهوم والاهمية والعلميات الخاصة بها وعلاقتها بنظام المعلومات الاستراتيجي. أما الفصل السابع والأخير تضمن نظم العملومات الاستراتيجية الدولية من حيث مفهومها ومبرراتها ومداخل تطويرها ودورها في تحقيق خصائص المنظمات العالية المستوى.
