تحت عنوان" إقتصاديات الدول العربية والأهداف الإقتصادية للبنك الإسلامي للتنمية" يقدم الدكتور أنور مصباح سوبرة دراسة حول "البنك الإسلامي للتنمية" الذي أنشأته منظمة مؤتمر الدول الإسلامية، ومقرّه في مدية جدّة في المملكة العربية السعودية. لقد ساهم هذا البنك في تطوير القدرات العربية في العديد من القطاعات الإقتصادية، ومن المتوقع أن يؤدي دوراً متصاعداً في المستقبل القريب، والتوجه في هذه الدراسة وفقاً للمؤلف: "هو عن الواقع الإقتصادي للدول العربية وللبحث في مواءمة أهداف "البنك الإسلامي للتنمية" في خدمة وتحقيق المتطلبات الإقتصادية في الدول العربية".
إنطلاقاً من هذا الهدف قسم المؤلف دراسته إلى قسمين: في القسم الأول يستعرض الواقع الحالي للتنمية الإقتصادية والتجارة الدولية، وتنمية المصارف الإسلامية، وتطوير الأسواق المالية الإسلامية بقصد تبيين أهمية هذه القطاعات الإقتصادية للدول العربية، والتي تحتاج إلى اهتمام البنك الإسلامي للتنمية، وتمويله. أما القسم الثاني فتم فيه تحديد أهداف البنك الإسلامي للتنمية التي يسعى إلى تحقيقها مترافقة مع اقتراح وسائل وأدوات ومؤسسات مالية لاستخدامها في هذا الإطار، يترافق ذلك مع إبراز المؤلف أهمية الوحدة الإقتصادية المتكاملة فيما بين هذه الدول، بحيث تشكل مركزاً وثقلاً إقتصادياً مهماً، وقطباً مالياً للدول الإسلامية كافة.
