ونظرا للحاجة الماسة الى كتاب باللغة العربية يستوفي مواضيع علم الصيدلة المختلفة فقد جاء في الوحدة الاولى التعريف بمهنة الصيدلة والمصطلحات الخاصة بها أما الوحدة الثالثة فتحدتث عن الاعمال الصيدلانية التي يحتاجها الصيدلي لتجهيز المستحضر الصيدلاني من العقار الخاص.
وقد جاء في الوحدة الثالثة دراسة لحالات المادة المختلفة الصلبة والسائلة والغازية والقوانين التي تحكم هذه الحالات المختلفة للمادة. أما الوحدة الرابعة فاشتملت على توضيح تفصيلي للاشكال الصيدلانية التي يبحث علم الصيدلة في طرق تحضيرها ومزاياها. وفي الوحدة الخامسة جاء الحديث عن ثبات الادوية والعوامل المختلفة المؤثرة على الأدوية أثناء حفظها.
