وهكذا هذه الموسوعة كاملة لناحية المبنى وهذا ما يجعلها مصدر معلوماتي قيم لجميع الباحثين والاختصاصين وطلاب الجامعة في مجالات الجيولوجيا والجيوفيزياء والبتروكيمياء والجغرافيا والبيولوجيا والهندسة المدنية والهندسة الزراعية وعلوم البيئة والفلك والآثار والاستشعار عن بعد، حيث حرص أن تشمل جميع المصطلحات العلمية المتعلقة بالجيولوجيا، ووضع شرحاً مفيداً لكل مصطلح باللغة العربية، مزوداً بالرسوم والأشكال والصور اللازمة، بالإضافة إلى معاني المصطلحات باللغة الإنكليزية، وحرص أيضاً على الصياغة اللغوية السهلة، ليتمكن المهتمون باقتنائها المنزلي كمرجع ثقافي أيضا، وتتكون الموسوعة من 28 جزءاً مرتبة الفصول حسب الأبجدية العربية فالجزء الخامس مثلاً يحتوي على جميع المصطلحات الجيولوجية التي تبدأ بحرف الجيم مثل جابرو أو جبل وهكذا يتم البحث عن المصطلح بحثاً معجمياً.
