"في خدمة المدرسة الرسمية" مؤلف تم نقله عن الفرنسية، وذلك لأهمية الكتب التي يتضمنها والتي هي "المدرسة الحديثة الفرنسية" (1945) والثوابت البيداغوجية (1964)، واللذان همهما من تصنيف المربي الفرنسي سلستان فرنيه، وهذا الكتاب الذي يضمهما هو من إعداد زوجة المصنف إليز فرنيه، وغايتها من جمعهما إعادة تدريب المعلمين باستمرار لبلوغ هدف واحد: هو تجديد مدرسة الشعب. وهي تقول من ذلك "ليست الغاية التي هدفناها أن ندخل في هذا العصر، على تعليم ما، مهما كانت درجته، بعض التعديلات الشكلية:" بل يقتضي أن نحقق تجديداً عميقاً فعالاً في تنشئة الأجيال الطالعة... ويمكن القول أن التعليم التقليدي، السكولستيكي، قد دالت دولته رغم ثباته منذ أجيال عديدة".
