تتناول الدراسة التي قام بإنجازها مجموعة من الباحثين، أهم تداعيات وجوانب انتفاضة الأقصى، في محاولة للإسهام في التأريخ والتحليل لها، بوصفها محطة تحول مهمة، في مجريات الصراع مع المشروع الصهيوني العنصري في المنطقة، وليكون هذا التقرير، من ناحية أخرى، مادة علمية توثيقية للأجيال القادمة. وتقسم الدراسة إلى تمهيد وستة مباحث، يتناول التمهيد فيها "تطورات توازن الرعب الفلسطيني الإسرائيلي في ظل انتفاضة الأقصى 2000-2001"، بينما يتناول المبحث الأول "متغيرات الانتفاضة ودلالاتها" من حيث التحول داخل الساحة الفلسطينية الذي فاجأ الذين نظَّروا طويلاً للاستحالة اندلاع انتفاضة جديدة، وكيف لعبت العديد من العوامل الداخلية والخارجية دوراً في تكريسها واستمراريتها.
ويعرض المبحث الثاني "مستقبل الاحتلال في ظل حرب الاستنزاف الفلسطينية" فيما يتناول المبحث الثالث "الانعكاسات السياسية والاقتصادية للانتفاضة على إسرائيل". أما المبحث الرابع فإنه يتناول "انعكاسات الانتفاضة على الأمة العربية والإسلامية" ومدى تفاعل هؤلاء مع قضيتهم المركزية رغم الظروف المحلية والإقليمية والدولية الصعبة التي تمر بها بلادهم. بالإضافة إلى ما سبق، يتضمن المبحث السادس "انتفاضة الأقصى تدخل عامها الثاني" حيث احتوى إحصائيات ورسوم بيانية تعرض لإنجازات الانتفاضة على الصعيد الفلسطيني وأثرها على مختلف المجالات على الصعيد الإسرائيلي.
