هو حاشية على كتاب «الطريق المأمون إلى أصول رواية قالون»، من طريق الشاطبية، للعلّامة عبد الفتاح المرصفي، موضحة لمهمله ومبيِّنة لمشكله.
وأما الكتاب الأصل «الطريق المأمون» فقد ألّفه العلّامة المرصفي ومراده بذلك: أن يجمع أصول هذه الرواية ملتزماً ما تضمَّنه نظم الشاطبية، ويرتِّب أبوابه على نسقها، فجاء الكتاب في مقدِّمة، وسبعة عشر مبحثاً، وخاتمة، مشتملاً على فوائد ومسائل من أحكام التَّجويد العامة، خاصة فيما اتّفق عليه الأئمة العشرة، وإن كان هناك خلافٌ فإنه يبيِّنه، مجلياً له بجملة من القواعد والتحريرات التي تساعد على الأداء الصَّحيح، ومبيِّناً لما يجوز من الأوجه وما لا يجوز، مع التَّنبيه على الوجه المقدَّم في الأداء - في أحد الوجهين أو الوجوه - عن الإمام قالون ومستشهداً بآراء من سبقه من العلماء.
