يدور هذا الكتاب في فكرته الأساس حول وصية السيد محمد صادق الصدر القاضية بمراجعة بعض المراجع الذين سماهم وإلى أي مدى تم تطبيق أو احترام هذه الوصية ،وأما التناقضات التي تعج بها الساحة الشيعية العراقية خاصة كان لا بدّ لي من موضوع أستهل البحث فيه يصلح كمقدمة طويلة ومفصلة عن أسباب مثل هذا النوع من التشرذم ؛حيث تناولت أصل ومستند معالجة الحكم الشرعي الا وهو علم الأصول وماهية العلاقة بينه وبين بقية العلوم،وحجم الصلاحيات التي يمنحها للفقيه حتى على نفس مكوناته كعلم مستقل وبعد ذلك كان من الضروري تناول مبدأ ولاية الفقيه التي تعتبر العمود الفقري لفكر وحركة السيد محمد الصدر ومدى ما تمتكله هذه النظرية من ارتباط بواقع الشريعة.
