نقرأ في شعرية "حنا حبيب فرحة" ذاتاً شاعرة هي من تقوم بتقديم شخصيتها القارئ، ويكون عملها أشبه بالراوي ضمن البناء الدرامي، وهو ما انعكس على النص منذ أولى الصفحات "أنا الآن في "الجديدة"... في بلدة مسقط الرأس على أول درجة من هذا السلم وُلدت... وفي هذا السرير نمت... مع أختين وأخ... قبل أن يتبعنا المزيد... دفء بريء... لا مثيل له... وها أنا... وقد جاوزت السبعين... أعود... أعود وحيداً... لألملم بقايا ماضٍ ولا أجمل... بقايا ماضٍ يسكنني... 24 ساعة في اليوم... الحاضر بهدلة... الحاضر نفاق... الحاضر مسخرة... الحاضر جنون... الحاضر إخفاق... والمستقبل لا يعنيني... لأنني سبقته...".
هذه المؤشرات التشخصيّة هي التي تمنح النص في مجموعة الشاعر "صدىً ضائع بين التلال" هويته وبطاقته التعريفية ومبررات دخول صاحبه إلى مفهوم قصيدة الشخصية، مع كل ما يجمله النص من تداعيات شعورية ومواقف عاطفية، عاشها الشاعر بين الغربة والوطن (الأم) وقد نفض عنها الغبار لتخرج تجربة إبداعية راقية، نهض صاحبها بمهمة إنتاج النص على أكمل وجه بعد أن طوى بعضاً من صفحة الذكريات ورجع إلى بلده (لبنان) ليكتبه شعراً يقرأ.
