بعد أن غابت شمس الأندلس عن الوجود العربي، بقي خالداً في الذاكرة العربية جليلان، الروائع المعمارية الحزينة على أرض الأندلس المفقود، والدرر الأدبية النفيسة التي خلفها الأدباء والشعراء العرب أيام عزهم في أقصى المغرب العربي التي كانت وما زالت للآلئ مضيئة في السماء الأدبية لا تقهرها الدول والأيام.
نبغ من ديار الأندلس علم جم بلغ في ذروته الآفاق، وتنوع في أغراضه تنوع البيئة التاريخية المتقلبة من فتح ونصر وازدهار فتشرذم وانحطاط واندثار، لقد وصف شعراء الأندلس في قصائدهم تاريخ مندثر لم يكن ليعلم أحداً بأن تلك البلاد على ما بلغ الوجود العربي بها من قوة ومنعة واستقرار يكون مصيره إلى هذا الحد من الزوال، ولا أحد يعلم إن كان للعرب بقية في المستقبل البعيد في تلك البلاد، ولا مرد لقضاء الله وقدره إلا هو جل جلاله.
لعل شعراء الأندلس تركوا لنا في أدبهم الرفيع عظة وعبرة لنا العرب، إلا وهو مصير الأمة حال تفرق كلمة أبنائها وتشتت قوتها وانشغالها باللهو وحب السيطرة عن طموح الأعداء الحاقدين.
شعراء الأندلس كغيرهم من الشعراء العرب، عالجوا في قصائدهم مختلف المواضيع الشعرية من مديح ووصف وغزل وهجاء وحكمة، وتفوقوا في زمانهم عل قرنائهم من الأمصار العربية حتى نسب العصر الأدبي إليهم، حيث كان المشرق العربي آنذاك يعاني من تدني المستوى الأدبي، فكان دور أدباء الأندلس أن نهضوا بالمستوى الأدبي العربي من جديد.
فهيا بنا لنطالع ما خلفه أسلافنا الأندلسيين من نفائس أدبية تناولت مختلف المواضيع الإنسانية بعذوبة لفظ وسلاسة قول وجمال وصف ودقة تعبير.
