وقد لمس الدكتور "ميسون الفاخوري" من خلال خبرته الطويلة في تدريس مساق الأدوية حاجة الطلبة إلى كتاب باللغة العربية يتناول الأدوية الجديدة وأنظمة المعالجة الحديثة ويتطرق إلى التطورات التي شهدها علم الأدوية في السنوات القليلة الماضية، ولهذا فلقد حرص على تناول مواضيع هذا الكتاب بلغة سهلة وبأسلوب واضح وبسيط ليساعد الطلبة على فهم هذا المساق والاستفادة منه علمياً وعملياً، قد جاء هذا الكتاب متمشياً مع الخطة الدراسية لمساق الأدوية 103 المقررة من جامعة البلقاء التطبيقية لتخصص الصيدلة، تضمن الكتاب موضوعان رئيسيان هما المعالجة الكيميائية تضمنت خمس وحدات والهرمونات التي تضمنت ستة فصول، هذا وتضمن كل فصل عدد من المواضيع المترابطة والجداول المرفقة.
