Book Description
يتناول هذا الكتاب رواية "النفق" من الخيال العلمي، ويتحدث عن مدرس للتاريخ يدخل نفق الزمن، فترميه أمواجه على ضفاف نهر الفرات، قبل أربعة آلاف سنة، ويقابل ابنة حمورابي (كولا)، فتشركه بالسباق السنوي لاختيار الأقدر من المحاربين، الذي يختار عروسه من بين صبايا المدينة بعد نجاحه في اختبارات الذكاء والحكمة والشجاعة والقوة، فينجح المدرس بها جميعاً وتعده (كولا) بالزواج منها إذا نجح في الاختبار الأخير، الذي يفقد وعيه خلاله، ويجد نفسه في ظلام دامس متمدداً على أرض صلبة، يعود منها إلى خارج النفق مجدداً، ويظل يحلم بلقاء (كولا).
يحدق في السماء عامل في مركز أبحاث علمية، (يعبر إلى الجانب الآخر)، باحثاً عن كائنات لم تتلوث مشاعرها بالشر والبغضاء، وتفاجئه فتاة غامضة، تطلب مساعدته ليصلح حوامتها المعطلة، وتطير به مع كائنات نجمية متطورة فيزيولوجياً، يساعدونه على الشفاء من أمراضه، فيؤمن بوجود مخلوقات عاقلة غير الإنسان في الكون.
يعود رائد فضاء وزوجته إلى الأرض بعد سنوات طويلة (حين تخيم الظلمة) ويسود المجتمع الاستهلاكي، وتسحق قوى الشر الإنسان بالتدريج، ثم ينطلقان إلى كوكب آخر بعيد عن كوكب الغدر، ويحلمان بالعودة عند انتصار القيم.
يتحدث في (أحلام الأقزام) عن مجتمع عجيب من الأقزام، تدخله التكنولوجية، ويصبح متطوراً، ويكتشفه باحث في علم الحياة، ويفرّ منه قزم فيحلم باستمرار بقدومه ثانية عليه.
