تداعيات الأنا مقابل الآخر الثيمة الأكثر طغياناً في قصائد الشاعر عبد الغني إبراهيم في مجموعته الشعرية المعنونة "نفحات من لهب" فهي تختصر حياة بأكملها تمزج الأمكنة والأزمنة والشخوص وتُطْلِعهُ مثل نهرٍ هادر في قصائد تقوم على هذيان الذاكرة، والهذيان حتماً ستنزف منه مليون فكرة، ما يعني رفع الرقابة عن القلم وجعل الروح تجول أو تبقى تغني كما تشاء للوصول إلى مشهدية صورية ترشح عن لغة شفافة تعبيرية جامعة حيناً وإشكالية حيناً آخر.
في القصيدة المعنونة "ذكريات" يقول الشاعر: "منذ سنين أربع... جاءني فارسُ الأشواقِ... جاءني راكضاً... جاءني قائلاً: ... يا أيها الشخص المتحسّر... قمْ بناظرْ... للآفاق... وننشر أجنحتنا في السباق... ونكتم الأسرار في المسيرْ... سرتُ وسارَ... تجاه من أهوى وطار... وأشرقت شمس النهار... فأحرقتني... ركبت قارباً... أطلقته عبر المياه... أوقفته عبر النخيل... فأشرقتْ شمسُ النهار... واحرقتني... أحرقتني... أحرقتني".
