هذه رسالة نافعة مفيدة للعلامة الشيخ علي بن سلطان محمد القاري، اشتملت على جملة أحاديث ونقول فقهية من مذهب الحنفية دلت على وجوب الطمأنينة في الركوع والسجود وباقي الأركان والاعتدال من الركوع والجلوس بين السجدتين، ثم اتبع ذلك بفصول مهمة: المتمعن فيها يعلم سوء حال صلاة كثيرة من الناس اليوم، إذ يخرجون فيها عن هدى المعصوم صلى الله عليه وسلم، فكان همّ المصنف بيان أخطاء مصلي زمانه، ولا يخفى أن محو اعتقاد غير الصواب في صدور العامة، بتمحيص الحق، باب عظيم من أبواب الدعوة إلى الخير.
ولا يخفى على القارئ اللبيب أن الصلاة هي أحد أركان الإسلام، وأنها أولى الواجبات الإسلامية بعد التوحيد، وأنها إذا صلحت صلح عمل المسلم كله، وإذا فسدت فسد عمله كله. ولذا فهي جديرة بالاهتمام والاعتناء، وخصوصاً أن كثيراً من البدع والمخالفات فيها فشت في الناس وخصوصاً العامة منهم، ولأهمية هذه الرسالة بين كتب التراث القديمة عنى "مشهور حسن لحود سلمان" بتحقيقها، لتخرج نقية من غير أخطاء أما عمله في التحقيق فتحلى بـ: أولاً: نسخ الرسالة وضبطها، ثانياً: تخريج الأحاديث وتبيين صحتها وحسنها وضعفها، ثالثاً: التعليق على بعض المواطن فيها، رابعاً: التقديم لها بترجمة مختصرة.
